Allen Earl Fry Jr., 90, of Shamokin, passed away on November 12, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Allen was the beloved husband of Marilyn (McIndoe) Fry, sharing over 63 years of loving marriage. Born on April 19, 1935 in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Allen and Violet (Felmy) Fry.
Allen honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he worked as a truck driver for Reading Transportation until its closing and later for Swift Breaker until his retirement. He was an avid baseball fan who never missed one of his grandchildren’s games. Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his vegetable garden.
Allen will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Allen D. Fry and his wife Penny and Shawn W. Fry; grandsons, Brandon Fry and his companion Jessica Malia and Austin Fry; a great grandson, Elias Fry; siblings, Betty Goodman, Pat McFarlin, Joan Houser, Linda Nacinovich, Charles “Butch” Fry and Les Fry; Jeff Klacik who they seen as a son, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Fry and sister, Barbara Bobber.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Foust Funeral Home, LLC. 841 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton, with a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service with pastor David Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township.
