Darwin L. Boyer

Darwin L. Boyer, 89, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 in the care of Nottingham Village. Darwin was the widower of Anna Mae (Strohecker) Boyer who passed in 2007. Born on June 19, 1936 in Dornsife, he was a son of the late Melvin and Anna (Troutman) Boyer.

Darwin worked as a farmer before joining PennDOT, where he was employed in road maintenance for many years. He was a faithful member of Himmel's Lutheran Church in Dornsife. Darwin enjoyed feeding his cows, playing card games—especially hasenpfeffer—and spending time with his family. He was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Eagles, and Jeff Gordon in NASCAR. He loved to listen to his bluegrass/gospel music on 88.9 every Saturday.

Darwin will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bonnie Wesstrom, Wanda Kramer, Darwin Boyer Jr. and his wife Gemma, and Sandy Boyer; son-in-law, Timothy Hostetter; brother, Ken Boyer; grandchildren, Shelly, Owen, Desiree, Veronica, Brian, Michael, Joseph, Eric, Garrett, Logan, Brandon, and Dalton; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughters, Judy Boyer, and Debbie Hostetter; brother, Raymond Boyer, and sister, Phyllis Boyer; grandson, Tom.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Himmel's Church, 1941 Schwaben Creek Rd, Dornsife, PA 17867 with a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Himmel’s Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC. Trevorton, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor.
