Denise A. (Klacik) Klinger

Denise Ann (Klacik) Klinger, 66, of Dornsife, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Dennis Klinger, sharing 45 years of loving marriage. Born on August 19, 1959 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Esther (Flessatti) Klacik.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services from Penn State, Denise began her career as a health educator at Family Planning. She later received her master’s degree in counseling from Bucknell University and went on to serve as a school counselor at Lenkerville Elementary School in the Millersburg School District, where she dedicated the majority of her career and touched countless lives. She also shared her knowledge and passion as a professor at Bloomsburg University, teaching counseling courses. Following her retirement, she worked for several years at Moyer’s Furniture Store. Denise was a devoted member of Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in Shamokin. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Denise will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dennis; a daughter, Merissa Rosenella and her husband Patrick; grandchildren, Alexander and Brianna Rosenella; a brother, Jeff Klacik; a aunt, Jean Koty; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward James.

A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Foust Funeral Home, LLC, 841 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton PA 17881. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 303 N Shamokin St, Shamokin, PA 17872 with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Himmel’s Church Cemetery, 1941 Schwaben Creek Rd, Dornsife, PA 17867. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
