Florence A. (Lishewski) Clifford, 101, of Coal Township, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Geisinger Shamokin. She was the widow of Hubert “Ubie” J. Clifford who passed on November 13, 2015. Born in Coal Run on December 13, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Anuskiewicz) Lishewski.
Florence worked for Morris Fisherman Manufacturing for some time before becoming a devoted homemaker. She was a faithful member of the former St. Stephen Church in Coal Township and currently a member of St. Patrick Church in Trevorton. Florence enjoyed gardening and took great pride in tending to her flowers. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues. She also enjoyed visiting the casino, playing bingo, and scratch-off tickets. A talented cook and baker, she enjoyed vacationing at the shore and going on camping trips, especially with her grandchildren. She loved word puzzles and shopping. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Florence will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Barbara Miller and her husband, Ronald, of West Cameron, and Patricia Clifford Mednitsky and her husband, Gary, of Florida; grandsons, Ronald Miller II (Kristina) and David Miller; great granddaughter, Katerina Miller; sister, Angeline. She was predeceased by her siblings, Helen Pazich, Eleanor Topolski, Rose Karpinski, Edward Lishewski, Mary Lishewski, and Patricia Tilmont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, 331 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC, Trevorton. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
