James "Jim" D. Schwartz

James “Jim” D. Schwartz, 79, of Trevorton passed away on December 21, 2025 at Geisinger Shamokin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Bohner) Schwartz sharing over 56 years of loving marriage. Born on April 20, 1946 in Trevorton, he was a son of the late Ralph M. and Ethel (Shipe) Schwartz.

Jim was a 1964 graduate of Trevorton High School. He served in the United States Army during Desert Storm and as a member of the 131st Transportation Company of Williamstown, PA, retiring after 20 years of service. He worked as a truck driver for Allen Clark, later for Anthracite Industries, and the Line Mountain School District. Jim attended the United Methodist Church in Trevorton. He enjoyed boating, horseback riding, camping, and spending time fishing and hunting with his son and his brother, Den.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janet; children, Jana Schwartz and her fiancé Carl “Piz” Yocum, Jim Schwartz and his wife Denise, and Jessica Robenolt and her husband Jim; grandchildren, Colby Schwartz, Kortnee Rarick, Zach Robenolt, Sara Thompson, Jasmine Breslin and Michael Breslin; great grandchildren, Bryer and Jax Schwartz, Bristol and Mac Rarick, and Kayleigh, Xander, Arya, and Luna Thompson; brothers, Dennis Schwartz and his wife Rosetta, and Ken Schwartz; sisters, Diane Brosius and her husband Dennis, and Rosanne Marquette and her husband Jeff.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC. 841 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton PA 17881, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
