Janet M. (Gilchrist) Klock

Janet May (Gilchrist) Klock, 85, of Trevorton, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at her residence. Janet was the widow of Robert “Bob” Klock who passed in 2011. Born on the 5th month 15th day of 1939 in Trevorton, she was a daughter of the late James and Edith (Hummel) Gilchrist.

She was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School and dedicated her life to her family and community. Janet’s faith was an important part of her life, and she was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed being part of the Scotty Trailer Club, TOPS, and the Trevorton Senior Action, where she made lasting friendships.

Janet loved crocheting, sewing, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Eagles and Phillies. She also found happiness in camping, traveling, and spending time at the family’s hunting cabin, where she made wonderful memories with loved ones.

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon Strayer (Gary) of Harleysville; son, Rob Klock (Karen) of Hummelstown; grandchildren, Tess (Lewis) and Rachael Strayer, Trey (Julia) and Tommy Klock, and a cherished great-granddaughter, Naomi Klock. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Klock; grandson, Kyle Klock; brother, James Gilchrist Jr., and sister, Margaret John.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC. Trevorton, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor.
