John "Bill" W. Reed Jr.

John “Bill” W. Reed Jr., 85, of Selinsgrove, formerly of Trevorton passed away on December 20, 2025 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Kline) Reed sharing over 65 years of loving marriage. Born on September 20, 1940 in Sunbury, he was a son of the late John W. Reed Sr. and Edna (Michael) Reed.

John was a graduate of Trevorton High School. He spent many years working as a mechanic, and served as Body Shop Manager for Faulkner in Harrisburg and Carlisle for many years before retiring. John enjoyed flying and collecting model trains. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce; a daughter, Sue A. Rising and her husband John of TN; a son, John “Buzz” W. Reed III and his wife Naomi of Milton; grandsons, Matthew A. Long and his wife MaryKate, and Bradley N. Long and his wife Syndee; a great granddaughter Hazel; a brother, Thomas Reed of Trevorton. He was predeceased by his brothers, Lee and Gary Reed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Foust Funeral Home, LLC. 841 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
