Keith T. Mielke

Keith Thomas Mielke, 66, of Trevorton, passed away on January 16, 2026 at Geisinger Hospital, Danville. He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Sissy” (Myers) Mielke, with whom he shared more than 43 years of marriage and 52 years together. Born on October 29, 1959, in Sunbury, he was a son of the late William and Ildra (Yonner) Mielke.

Keith was a 1977 graduate of Line Mountain High School and earned his welding degree from the Breeden School of Welding. He worked for Reading Anthracite and Shamokin Filler before retiring from Milton Steel. Keith enjoyed painting, often following along with Bob Ross, as well as ceramics, candle making, golf club making, camping, golfing, hunting, archery, fishing, listening to podcasts, gardening, canning, and babysitting his grandchildren. He lovingly ran his own “Pappy Daycare” for his granddaughters, and loved being a teachers aide for MamMam’s school. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Michigan Wolverines fan. Above all, he cherished attending concerts and taking walks with his wife, and loved supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events, dances, and activities.

Keith will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret “Sissy”; children, Keith Mielke and his wife Stacie of Sunbury, Marie Schreffler and her husband Jeremiah of Herndon, and David Mielke and his companion Brooke Moroskie of Trevorton; grandchildren, Gage Weisen, Maxton Mielke, Isla Mielke, Nolan Schreffler, Courtlynn Dale, Lexi Schreffler, Caisynn Schreffler, Grayson Hartman, Evelyn Mielke, Liana Mielke and Baby Boy Mielke arriving in May. He was predeceased by his brother, William “Bill” Mielke Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, 331 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Foust Funeral Home, LLC, Trevorton.
