Michael A. Swinehart

Michael Alan Swinehart Sr., 67, of Sunbury, formerly of Trevorton passed away unexpectedly at his residence on May 15, 2025. Born on January 17, 1958, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Harry R. Swinehart Sr. and Loretta M. (Walters) Swinehart.

Mike worked for many years as a Correctional Officer with the Bureau of Prisons. He was a former Fire Chief of the Trevorton Fire Company and a life member of the Friendship Hose Company in Sunbury. He also volunteered for several years with the Trevorton Colts football team. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Michael will be remembered by his sons, Michael Swinehart Jr., Matthew Swinehart, and Mark Swinehart; daughter, Jill Swinehart – Tice; brother, David Swinehart (Deborah). He was predeceased by his brothers, Harry Swinehart Jr., and Bob Swinehart.
