Richard "Butch" Bohner Obituary

 

Richard “Butch” Bohner, 77, of Trevorton, passed away on May 5, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center. Butch was the widower of Judy (Straub) Bohner who passed in 2014. Born on October 9, 1947 in Herndon, he was a son of the late William Bohner Sr. and Suzie (Deiter) Bohner.

 

Butch worked as a bus driver for Catawese and Trail Ways for many years before retiring. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army and was a member of the Trevorton VFW, Sunbury American Legion, and the Independence Fire Company in Shamokin. He loved collecting cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping. He had a special bond with his beloved dog, Snowball, and his cat, Misty.


Butch will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Norman Bohner and his wife Pam; good friend, Lori Kissinger; niece, Marlene Shipe and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Foust Funeral Home, LLC. 841 W. Shamokin St. Trevorton, with a viewing from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
