Salvatore Rosso, 76, of West Cameron, passed away on November 5, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Sal was the beloved husband of Molly (Curran) Rosso sharing over 55 years of loving marriage. Born on December 12, 1948 in Carini, Sicily, he was a son of the late Joseph and Laura (Gambino) Rosso.
After coming to America, Sal proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. After his honorable discharge, he opened Sal’s Pizzeria and later worked for many years as a Building Trades 1180 Union Laborer until retiring.
Sal was a great bowler, loved playing cards and cooking his family’s favorite Italian meals—his specialties being spaghetti and pizza. He especially enjoyed sharing his pizzas with everyone around town. He could fix or build anything, adored his dog Lucy, and above all, treasured his family, especially his grandchildren.
Sal will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Molly; a daughter, Anna Rosso-Shingara and her companion John Ritzman of Trevorton; a son Paul Rosso and his wife Chrissy of Trevorton; grandchildren, Kylee Rosso, Timmy Shingara, Trista Tehansky, Race Shingara, and Cam Shingara; a brother, John Rosso and his wife Diana and a sister, Lia LoPiccolo and her husband Frank. Sal was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Rosso and his wife Karen.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC. Trevorton, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
