Suzette M. Kahler

Suzette Marie Kahler, 74, of Ashland, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Ashland on April 23, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Shirley M. Kahler.

Suzette first worked for Clark’s Packing plant in Irish Valley, and then moved onto Mandata Poultry in Dornsife before dedicating many years of service as a CNA at the Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman. She attended Friendly Holiness Church in Shamokin. Suzette enjoyed spending time sitting on her porch, listening to country music, and working on puzzle books, including crossword puzzles and word searches. She was an animal lover and, above all, cherished the time she spent with her family.

Suzette will be lovingly remembered by a sister, Kathy Welsh and her husband Frederick of Trevorton; a brother, Robert Kahler and his wife Linda of Ashland; two nieces, Jennifer Rissinger and her husband Darin, and Jessica Moran and her husband Shane; great nephew and nieces, David and Callie Rissinger and Kinsley Moran. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Michael Kahler.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Friendly Holiness Church, 6908 Upper Rd, Shamokin, PA 17872, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service with pastor Andy Cooley officiating.  Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle.
